The righteousness of God that saves us from our sins is that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and that He bled and died on the Cross to save us from our sins once and for all, and that God testified that He was the Savior. After Jesus was baptized, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And because He was hungry after having fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, the devil tried to tempt Jesus with three temptations.
